The 3rd
interim meeting of the Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project Monitoring Board
was held on the 2nd of November, 2023 under the chairmanship of Ms. Tijen İĞCİ, PhD, Head of Department
for EU Investments, General Directorate for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations,
MoTI.
During the
meeting Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and Directorate-General of the
Infrastructure Investments (DGII), which are the project owner institutions, delivered
presentations on the current status of Kapıkule-Çerkezköy,
Çerkezköy-Ispartakule, Ispartakule-Halkalı sections of the project as well as
its railway connection to Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge.
The participants
were informed about the implementation process of the Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway
Line Project since the previous Monitoring Board Meeting.
