
Our
#USOPontheway Mobile Promotion Campaign met with thousands of visitors from
different parts of Türkiye throughout March. Our campaign vehicle reached
hundreds of thousands of people and explained both the projects under the
umbrella of USOP and the educational opportunities provided by the European
Union to young people.
While
information was conveyed to approximately 4500 people in total through
face-to-face promotions, 125 thousand people were successfully reached through
social media. Our Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle, which has completed its
Turkey tour, continues its journey to meet with citizens in other cities.
Our #USOPontheway Mobile Promotion
Campaign vehicle started its tour on March 4 and 5, 2022 with the Eastern Black
Sea Career Fair, which hosts nearly 20,000 students from different universities
in Trabzon every year and covers many different sectors, especially
informatics, pharmacy, defence industry, transportation, education, and banking.
Mr. Burak Aykan, Director General for EU and Foreign Relations of the Ministry
of Transport and Infrastructure, visited our Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle
at the Eastern Black Sea Career Fair and held various meetings.
Many official contacts were also made
during the fair. Trabzon Metropolitan Transportation Inc. General Manager Mr.
Samet Ali Yıldız visited our Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle. Mr. Mustafa
Bahar, Director of Trabzon Coastal Safety, was one of the many who visited our
Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle. Mr. Salih Tan, Director General of Shipyards
and Coastal Structures, Mr. Ünal Baylan, Director General of Maritime Affairs,
Ms. Leyla Akıncı, Director General of Personnel, Ms. Nurgül Uraloğlu, General Director
of Legal Services visited our USOP Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle. During
the visits, general information about USOP's activities and project details was
given.
Our
second stop was the Eastern Anatolia Career Fair (DAKAF'22), which was held at
the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Centre in Erzurum on March 7 and 8, 2022. The
intense participation of industry stakeholders and young people in the fair was
noteworthy.
Afterwards,
we attended the Silkroad Career Fair, which was held at GAÜN Mavera Congress
and Art Centre on March 11 and 12 and hosted by Gaziantep University (GAÜN). In
the fair held at the GAÜN Congress and Art Centre in order to bring university
students and graduates together with the public and employers, our Mobile
Promotion Campaign vehicle met with the people of the region and the youth for
two days and carried out information activities.
We
participated in the Eastern Mediterranean Career Fair on 14 and 15 March,
hosted by Çukurova University, in partnership with seven state universities and
two private universities in the Eastern Mediterranean region and Northren
Cyprus universities.
On
the 21st and 22nd of March, our Mobile Promotion Vehicle met with the people of
Izmir in Fair Izmir A Hall. The two-day fair turned into a festival as students
from universities in the surrounding cities moved to the venue
Western
Black Sea Career Fair, which was held at Bolu AIBU Congress Center on 25 and 26
March, was another stop for our Mobile Promotion Center, where heavy
communication traffic was carried out.
One
of the main purposes of the career fairs was to provide one-on-one information
to students about USOP, ÇE-KA, EU Projects, Erasmus+, European Solidarity
Programmes and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) through our Mobile
Promotion Centre team. These briefings continued inside the buildings where the
fairs take place, apart from our #USOPontheway mobile promotion vehicle, which
is located outdoors.
The
second purpose of the career fairs was to inform students about Erasmus+,
exchange and participation programmes and to organize a Q&A session by the
National Agency, which is among our stakeholder institutions. Studies and
presentations were made for this purpose in all regions, and thousands of
students were provided guidance and counselling services. Our experts, who shared
their professional experiences with the students, gave important tips about how
the projects will contribute to our country and which employment areas will
emerge.
In
addition to the students who received guidance and information about job,
internship and education opportunities at the fairs, which were flooded by
visitors from all over Turkey, graduate students, secondary school student
groups and families participated from the surrounding cities. During the fairs,
many competitions, activities, gift distribution, training, presentations and
simulation shows were held. With the social media campaign, the visibility and
awareness of the USOP was successfully achieved at the fairs. After the very
energetic activities throughout March, our Mobile Promotion Campaign vehicle is
preparing for new routes and campaigns to meet citizens in other cities.
