“From Strategy to Action”: the 3rd Stakeholder Engagement Workshop of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for İzmir Project (İzmir SUMP), implemented under the Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport (USOP) as part of the Türkiye-EU financial cooperation managed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, was held on 4 December 2024. The workshop started with the opening speeches of Tolga Çilingir (PhD), Head of the Transportation Department at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Aslıhan Tekin, Transportation Planning Branch Manager of the Transportation Department.

Project Team Leader Prof. Dr. Ela Babalık gave a comprehensive presentation on the “Measure List Formulation Process”. The presentation underlined the importance of stakeholder and citizen engagement within the scope of the İzmir SUMP Project. It emphasized that the project process is carried out with a participatory approach. It was also stated that the opinions and suggestions of the workshop participants are of great value for the success of the project.
