Tender and Procurement Procedures of International Financial Institutions Training was Held

Within the scope of the Strengthening the Transport Operating Structure and ERAs in IPA II (2014-2020) Period Project, co-financed with the EU under the Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport (USOP) managed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the "Tender and Procurement Procedures of International Financial Institutions Training​" for the staff of the EU Investments Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure was successfully completed on 11-12 December 2025 in Ankara.

The two-day training delivered by Ali Demir Müftüoğlu, an expert trainer on the tender and procurement procedures of International Financial Institutions, aimed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in areas such as the correct and effective implementation of procurement procedures of International Financial Institutions, the execution of transparent and legally compliant tender processes, and the distinctions between IPA/PRAG processes and the rules of International Financial Institutions.

Within the scope of the training, the tender and procurement systems of major International Financial Institutions such as the European Union (EU), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the World Bank (WB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Development Bank (KfW) and the French Development Agency (AFD) were discussed in detail.

The programme conveyed to participants the regulatory framework, operational structure, and implementation processes related to construction works, consultancy services, and goods procurement in projects financed by International Financial Institutions. In addition to theoretical presentations, the training also included practical exercises on preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and common problems encountered in project implementation processes.

The training was successfully completed with active group work and participant questions.
