Progress Meeting and Site Visit for the Construction of Cerkezkoy-Kapikule Section of Halkali-Kapikule Railway Line Project Realised

Progress Meeting was held on 8 October 2024, followed by a site inspection visit on 9 October 2024 within the the scope of Project for the Construction of Cerkezkoy-Kapikule Section of Halkali-Kapikule Railway Line Project which is financed under the Sectoral Operational Programme  for Transport (USOP) managed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Representatives of the Directorate General of TCDD Modernisation Deparment, TCDD Site Control Organization, the NAO Office, the NIPAC, the Engineer and the Contractor were present during the project steering committee meeting, which was led by the Head of Department for EU Investments Tijen İğci (PhD).

A presentation covering the general physical and financial progress of the project, as well as occupational health and safety, environmental issues and community relations has been given by the Contractor, during the meeting. Moreover, the points regarding the remaining design works, on-going infrastructure and superstructure works, city crossings, and issues that are carried out in coordination with other public institutions and organizations have been discussed.
