The Kick off of “Analysis of the Transport Legislation of Turkey in the Process of Harmonisation with the EU Acquis Project” was held online

In the scope of “Analysis of the Transport Legislation of Turkey in the Process of Harmonisation with the EU Acquis” funded under financial assistance  Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), and implemented by the Ministry of  Transport and Infrastructure, a Kick Off meeting was held on 01 July 2021 via the Zoom platform. Meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure as the main Beneficiary, from the Contracting Authority (EU Investments Department of the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations, the Directorate for EU Affairs), the Contractor, the European Delegation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Turkey.  

Mr. Rade Glomazic, Project Director, presented the current portfolio of DAI HD, explaining the prominent position and presence of the Contractor as well as its structure and leadership. Mr. Glomazic introduced himself and the 2 Key Experts  - Team Leader: Mr. Jose Papi and the Senior Economy Expert: Nejat Doğan of the project who will be responsible for implementing the project activities.

Mr. İmamoğlu, Head of EU Department of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey talked about the importance of this project and how this project will pave the way for future ones. He stated that a horizontal sector-based approach for the project is foreseen, and there is already a plan made covering all legislation.
