Within the scope of the Construction of the Çerkezköy–Kapıkule Section of the Halkalı–Kapıkule Railway Line Project, financed under the Transport Operational Programme (USOP) managed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, a joint on-site monitoring visit was carried out on 22 October 2025 under the chairmanship of our Head of Department, Mr. Adem Koç, with the participation of representatives from the Contracting Authority, Employer, TCDD and personnel from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Directorate General for Foreign Economic Relations and the Directorate for EU Affairs Directorate General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation.
The delegation met at the Kapıkule Station Expansion
Project site, and after conducting inspections there, boarded a railway vehicle
organised by TCDD and conducted extensive inspections along the route from
Kapıkule Station to Çerkezköy Station. Ongoing construction work at the station
buildings along the route was inspected on site. Following the tour of the
site, the delegation proceeded to the Lüleburgaz construction site, where they
met with representatives of the Contractor and the Engineer to discuss the
progress of the project, the schedule for the remaining work, red flags and
pending issues.
