8th Sectoral Monitoring
Committee (SMC) Meeting for Multi-Annual Action Programme for Turkey on
Transport has been held on 2nd of June 2021 through online platforms
due to the COVID-19 conditions. During the meeting, stakeholders were informed
about the activities of last 6 months that were carried out in the transport
sector within the context of IPA funds as well as the targets of the next 6
months.
Meeting has been co-chaired by Director
General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations, Head of Operating Structure; Mr.
Erdem DIREKLER and Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Head of Financial
Cooperation; Mr. Andre Etienne LYS.
Representatives of Strategy and Budget Department
and IPA/FRIT Office from Presidency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate
General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation; Deputy Director
General Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN and other representatives of National IPA Coordinator Office,
Head of our department Mr. Nedim YEŞIL, relevant departments of the Ministry of
Treasury and Finance National Accrediting Office , representatives of
Delegation of the EU to Turkey, representatives of EU Commission, related
departments of our Ministry and TCDD officials participated to the meeting.
In the meeting, the progress achieved by
our Ministry during the IPA II Period since the last sectoral monitoring
committee has been presented.
