The 14th
Sectoral Monitoring Committe Meeting of IPA II and the 3rd Sectoral
Monitoring Committe Meeting of IPA III for Sectoral Operational Programme on
Transport have been held on the 14th of May 2024 through online
platforms. During the meeting, stakeholders were informed about the activities
of last 6 months that were carried out in the transport sector within the
context of IPA funds as well as the targets of the next 6 months.
Meeting has been
co-chaired by Ms. Tijen İğci, PhD
(Head of Department for EU Investments, General Directorate for EU Affairs and
Foreign Relations, MoTI) and Mr. Odoardo
Como (Head of Co-operation, Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye).
The representatives
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate of EU Affairs, relevant
departments of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Delegation of the EU
to Türkiye, the EU Commission, other public institutions, related departments
of the MoTI and CSO officials participated to the meeting.
At the meeting,
the progress made by the Ministry on the IPA II and IPA III Periods since the
last sectoral monitoring committee has been presented. In addition, Sectoral
Overview - Policy developments at sector level related to program
implementation, state of play in implementation, objectives and results,
visibility and communication have been discussed.
