The 2nd Project Steering Committee of “Düzce Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan” was held on 30 April 2024.
The 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the
Düzce Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan Project, financed under the Sectoral
Operational Programme for Transport (USOP) within the scope of Türkiye-EU
financial cooperation, of which Düzce Municipality is the end recipient of
assistance, was held on 30 April 2024 in Düzce.
The meeting was chaired by Hasan Günden, Deputy
Mayor of Düzce Municipality and attended by Tijen İğci (Ph.D), Head of European
Union Investments Department, as well as Contracting Authority, Düzce
Municipality, contractor representatives and project key experts.
The meeting started with the opening speech of
Deputy Mayor Hasan Günden and proceeded with the speech of Tijen İğci (Ph.D).
Subsequently, the presentation was made on the current status of the project by
the project’s key experts, Bas Govers and Patrick Van Egmond.
In the presentation, the activities carried out
and completed, the project outputs completed and worked on so far were presented.
In addition, "SUMP Approach for Düzce" which was prepared in the
light of the data obtained from the surveys, workshops and meetings held with
stakeholders and citizens in the last 6 months of the project was also
presented.
