The study visit to Spain within the scope of the “Strengthening the Transport Operating Structure and ERAs in IPA II (2014 – 2020) Period” project under Sectoral Operational Program for Transport (USOP) was organized between the dates of 27 September-1 October2022.
Thw Study Visit was carried out with a delegation of 10 participants, 7 participants from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, Directorate General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations, Department for EU Investments and 3 participants from the Project Technical Assistance Team.
The Turkish Delegation led by the Head of Department for EU Investments, IPA Director Dr. Tijen İğci, visited “Port of the State Spain”, “Port Authority of Valencia”, “Valencia Port Foundation”, “Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA)” and “Rail Infrastructure Manager (Adif)” respectively, and received information about the Trans-European Transport Network and the CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) funds.
In addition to the institutional
visits, site visits to Valencia Port and Madrid Atocha Train Station were also
organized and the operation of the activities was examined on sites.
