
Directorate of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Research Centre successfully held its 1st Soft-Skills Trainings
On 25 and 27 May
2021, the Directorate of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications
Research Centre (DoTMC) held its first Soft-Skills Trainings,
which are Communication Skills and Time and Stress Management Trainings within
the scope of the “Enhancement of Institutional and Administrative Capacity
of Directorate of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Research
Centre,” project which is funded by the EU and the Republic of Turkey.
Supporting the development of the
institutional and administrative capacity of UDHAM with many different
activities designed specifically for the needs and requirements of the
institution and its employees, the project has completed the first series of a
social skills trainings in order to maintain workplace productivity, internal
communication and increase the motivation of DoTMC Research Centre employees.
Realised with the intense interest and
active participation of the employees of DoTMC Research Centre, the
"Communication Skills" training offered by Prof. Dr. Ünsal Sığrı,
provided the participants with knowledge and skills that will be useful not
only in the professional life and workplace environment, but also in
communicating with their families and social circles.
The "Stress and Time Management"
training delivered by Özgür Aksuna included examples and exercises that link
situations and real work life scenarios and provided them with techniques of
dealing with stress and time management that would both increase the
productivity of DoTMC Research Centre
employees and improve their teamwork further.
Along with the trainings for the
professional and technical skills of DoTMC Research Centre employees, the
project will continue with social skills trainings on different subjects, which
will be formulated according to the results of the training needs analysis in
the coming period.
