A Fire Drill was conducted at Construction of Cerkezkoy-Kapıkule Section of Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project

A fire drill was conducted at the main construction site area under the coordination of Lüleburgaz Municipality Fire Brigade Directorate with the participation of the personnel working at the Construction of Cerkezkoy-Kapıkule Section of Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project. All employees participated to the drill held at the dormitory area on the main construction site with the given alarm. Within the framework of the occupational safety law numbered 6331, the training and drill held once a year within the scope of emergency and building evacuation drills were successfully carried out. Lüleburgaz Municipality Firefighter Haluk Tez informed the project employees about firefighting and rescue works.

The types of fires that may occur were demonstrated by the Lüleburgaz Municipality Fire Brigade Team and the project employees were shown how to extinguish fires and how to use the fire extinguisher. Lüleburgaz Municipality Fire Brigade stated that the fire should be taken under control at the initial phase; in such cases fire extinguishers can be used and the growth of the fire can be prevented with the help of water. In addition, the employees were informed that the number of emergency numbers previously used were too many and now they were collected under the roof of the “112 Emergency Call Center” as well as how to use the hotline and its importance. Project employees participated in extinguishing the simulated fires.
