The FIDIC Contract Users Awards have been organised
regularly every year for the past three years for recognizing excellence in the
use of FIDIC contract forms and to share examples of good practice through
collaboration from around the world. The aim of the Awards is to bring together
the FIDIC Contracts Users community, identify and reward excellence and best
practices, and raise the profile of FIDIC contracts on a global scale.
Despite the challenges posed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, FIDIC has created a strong shortlist of 21 projects, organizations, companies and individuals this year. FIDIC Jury composed of experts representing FIDIC in countries such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, China, Kenya and the Maldives and chaired by the international judge and arbitrator Sir Vivian Ramsey chose winners in a number of categories including Project of the Year, Client of the Year, Consultant of the Year, Legal or Professional Services of the Year Trainer of the Year, Adjudicator of the Year and the Golden Principles Award.

Line Project won the "FIDIC - Project of the Year" award at the ceremony which was held
online on Thursday December 9, 2021 at 16:35 Turkish time. The judges were
particularly impressed that this significant project demonstrated key aspects
of biodiversity and also the use of the FIDIC contract in promoting
sustainability, which they thought was an important factor on such a
high-profile project.
