7th Sectoral Monitoring
Committee (SMC) Meeting for Multi-Annual Action Programme for Turkey on
Transport has been realised online on 3rd of November 2020 due to
the COVID-19 conditions. During the meeting, stakeholders were informed about
the activities carried out in the transport sector with the IPA in the last 6
months and the targets of the future.
Meeting has been co-chaired by Director
General for EU Affairs and Foreign Relations, Head of Operating Structure; Mr.
Erdem DIREKLER and Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Head of
Cooperation Department; Mr. Andre Etienne LYS.
Representatives of Strategy and Budget and
IPA/FRIT Office from Presidency, Directorate General for Financial Cooperation
and Project Implementation; Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN and other representatives of NIPAC
Office, Head of EUID Mr. Nedim YEŞIL, relevant departments of the Ministry of
Treasury and Finance, representatives of Delegation of the EU to Turkey,
representatives of EU Commission, related departments of our Ministry and TCDD
officials participated to the meeting.
At the meeting, the progress made by our
Ministry on the IPA II Period since the last sectoral monitoring committee has
been presented.
