Within the scope
of the Strengthening the Transport Operating Structure and ERAs in IPA II
(2014-2020) Period Project, Advanced Business English training,
which Fariya Ateek Doğan instructed, was held in Ankara on 21 and 22 March
2023. 9 participants from the Department for EU Investments attended the
training.
The objective of
the training was determined to introduce, improve, and revive the business
language skills for better communication among participants who are already
experienced professionals in their business field. During the two-day long
training, the following topics were discussed:
- Using clear and direct language in the business environment
- Conveying ideas in short, concise sentences
- Using appropriate language terms and writing style
- Using diplomatic language, idioms, and terms
- Sentence patterns that can be used for discussion and exchange of ideas
- Practicing the training topics
