Under the Scope of “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs” Project, Mersin Field Visit Was Carried Out on 14 – 15 - 16 February 2022

Within the scope of “Strengthening Institutional Capacity of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs” Project carried out under the Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport (USOP), Mersin Field Visit was held and practical trainings were held at Mersin ATP Test Center and Kazanlı-Mersin KGM roadside inspection station.

Practical trainings for Personel of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastucture were held in Mersin ATP Test Center and Kazanlı-Mersin KGM Road Inspection Station. Site visit started with an open air meeting on how the vehicles get the ATP certificate of conformity. The trainers were explained several indicators of ATP such as the temperature tests. The vehicles carrying perishable foods and their different ATP distinguishing signs were examined in the site. Additionally the cold chain storage areas in the field were visited.

The visit continued in KGM Inspection Station in Mersin Kazanlı where 5 vehicles were examined under the necessary traffic safety measures taken. All participants had the opportunity to see the topics covered during the theoretical trainings and found the site visit successful.
