11th
Sectoral Monitoring Committee Meeting for Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport
has been held on 24th of November 2022 through online platforms.
During the meeting, stakeholders were informed about the activities of last 6
months that were carried out in the transport sector within the context of IPA
funds as well as the targets of the next 6 months.
Meeting has been
co-chaired by Ms. Tijen İĞCİ, PhD
(Head of Department for EU Investments, Directorate General for EU Affairs and
Foreign Relations, MoTI) and Mr. Andre
Etienne LYS (Head of Cooperation, Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye).
Representatives
of Strategy and Budget from Presidency, representatives of Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, relevant departments of the Ministry of
Treasury and Finance, representatives of the Delegation of the EU to Türkiye,
representatives of the European Commission, representatives of other
institutions, related departments of the MoTI and CSO officials participated in
the meeting.
At the meeting,
the progress made by the MoTI on the IPA
II Period since the last Sectoral Monitoring Committee has been presented.
In addition, Sectoral
Overview - Policy developments at sector level related to program
implementation, state of play in implementation, objectives and results,
visibility and communication issues were discussed.
