Within the scope
of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Trabzon Project, which is carried
out under the Sectoral Operational Programme for Transport (USOP) within the
framework of the financial cooperation between Türkiye and the European Union,
‘Action Plan Workshop’ was held on 24 April 2025 at Trabzon Panagia Premier
Hotel. General Secretary of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Gürkan Üçüncü,
Head of Transport Department Fatih Bayraktar and representatives of relevant
institutions as well as various stakeholders attended the workshop.
The workshop
started with the participation of 127 stakeholders and under the moderation of
Communication Expert Murat Çağatay (PhD), a presentation was made about the
process, vision and scenarios determined within the scope of SUMP for Trabzon
Project. Fatih Bayraktar, Head of Transport Department of Trabzon Metropolitan
Municipality, made a general information presentation about Akyazı-Airport Rail
System and Gürkan Üçüncü, General Secretary of Trabzon Metropolitan
Municipality, started the programme by thanking the stakeholders for their
participation.
In the
continuation of the programme, the action topics created in line with the
selected scenario and measures were distributed to the tables, and stakeholders
were asked to take part in the tables related to each sub-heading and
contribute to the suggestions. The measures developed by the experts were
discussed, action proposals for these measures were analysed and new proposals
were developed.
Following the
distribution of stakeholders to the tables in line with the action topics,
table changes were made in order to provide support for specific topics in
other sessions. After the actions were discussed, all actions were asked to be
ranked in stages by the stakeholders. The workshop was finalised after the
suggestions developed by the stakeholders at the tables and the issues
discussed were presented by the table moderators.
In the following process, all suggestions and
prioritisations will be analysed and evaluated for use in the SUMP for Trabzon
Action Plan document.
