Plan Project's Second Citizen Information Meeting of Istanbul SUMP Stage II which is financed under the Sectoral Operational Programme (USOP)
for Transport managed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure was held on 8 August 2024 at Istanbul
Planning Agency Campus. At the meeting, participants were informed about the
pilot implementation works carried out within the scope of the project.
Especially pedestrian areas pilot applications were discussed. The aims,
objectives and contents of the projects were explained in detail.
The works carried out for 5 pedestrian area pilot projects to be implemented in the central districts of Istanbul were presented to the participants. Feedback was received from the participants about the locations of the projects. Participants shared their ideas and suggestions about the projects through workshops.
