A two-day
training activity on the Preparation of Regulatory Impact Assessment under the
ATLAS Project was conducted in Trabzon on November 9-10, 2023.
The
training, which commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Mustafa İmamoğlu, Head of
the International Policies Department, and Mrs. Tijen İğci (PhD), Head of the
European Union Investments Department, featured a presentation on the
Regulatory Impact Assessment Guide and its applications in our country by Mr.
Memduh Ünal, representative of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, on the
first day.
The theoretical part of the training, including
aspects of the Applicability of Cost-Benefit Analysis in Regulatory Impact Assessment
Methods, Determination and Measurement of Benefits and Costs, and Cost-Benefit
Analysis and Multi-Criteria Analysis, was presented by Project Expert Volkan
Recai Çetin and concluded with a question-and-answer session.
On the second day of the training, after a
presentation by the Key Expert Nejat Doğan on the Regulatory Impact Assessment
Methodology under the ATLAS Project, participants engaged in sectoral group
sessions, where sample cost-benefit analysis studies were conducted under the
guidance of project experts.
The interactive two-day training, which evaluated
the results of sector sessions, was concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Burak
Aykan, Director General for European Union and Foreign Relations.
