Progress Meeting for the Construction of Çerkezköy-Kapıkule Section of Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line Project Realised

Joint site visit and progress meeting were realized under the chairmanship of the Head of Department for EU Investments Ms. Tijen İğci (PhD), with the participation of the officials from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance DG Foreign Economic Relations (NAO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (NIPAC), Directorate General of Turkish State Railways. Representatives of the Engineer and the Contractor were also present.

Prior to the Progress Meeting, Engineer representatives gave a pre-briefing to the Employer, NAO, NIPAC and TCDD officials. A presentation covering the general physical and financial progress of the project, as well as occupational health and safety, environmental issues and liaison and public relations has been given by the Contractor, during the progress meeting. Moreover, the latest status of the remaining design works, on-going infrastructure and superstructure works, city crossings, and issues that are carried out in coordination with other public institutions and organizations have been discussed.
