The Gaziantep Sustainable
and Smart Mobility Project (GAUS), co-financed with the EU under the Sectoral Operational
Programme for Transport (USOP) managed by the Ministry of Transport and
Infrastructure, implemented by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, 5 training modules were successfully completed in May and June. These trainings aimed to enhance participants’
technical knowledge and practical capacity, offering comprehensive content on
smart and sustainable mobility.
A total of 89 participants attended the sessions, which covered the following topics:
Module
10 – Communication and Moderation Techniques (2 days, 21 participants): Practical guidance was provided on effective
communication, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder moderation.
Module 2 – Urban Traffic Management (3 days, 26 participants): Planning approaches for managing urban traffic flow in a sustainable and efficient manner were discussed.

3 – Transport Modelling and Demand Analysis (3 days, 15 participants): Participants received technical training on transport
system analysis and forward-looking modelling techniques.

12 – Advanced Traffic Monitoring and Management Techniques (2 days, 14
participants): Innovative technologies for real-time traffic monitoring and
control were introduced.

5 – Visualisation of Quantitative and Qualitative Data (2 days, 13
participants): Participants developed skills in visualising transport-related
data and presenting it in an accessible and analytical way.
