The 18th Sectoral Monitoring Committee for the Transport Operational Programme (TOP) was organised by the Department of European Union Investments of DG of Foreign Relations and European Union Affairs on May 24th 2016 at the Hilton Hotel in Ankara.
Head of Operating Structure Mr. Bekir GEZER hosted the meeting, while DG Regional and Urban Policy Programme Manager Mr. Rastislav PROKOPIC, Head of Department for EU Investments Mr. Nedim YEŞİL, Head of Section of the Delegation of the European Union Mr. François BEGEOT, representatives from related departments of MoTMC, DG REGIO, European Delegation to Turkey, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Ministry of European Union Affairs, Ministry of Development etc. and non-governmental organisations have attended to the meeting.
Mr Bekir GEZER opened the meeting with welcoming remarks and was followed by Mr Rastislav PROKOPIC. The minutes of the 17th SMC were endorsed and following this the progresses made on each item of the agenda was presented.
The meeting continued presentation related to the progress of Transport Operational Programme and other relevant issues have been made by the coordinators of the Department for EU Investments. Relevant topics were discussed with the participation of the European Commission Members, European Delegation Members and other committee members
